Church History and Apologetics Seminar

Grades 10-12
Valerie Otheim, Instructor

This seminar encourages 10th -12th grade and early college-age students to explore the history and foundational teachings of Protestant Christianity while applying spiritual truths to life. Weekly group time will include a 15-30 minute video presentation followed by a discussion of common objections and questions about the Christian faith. Students will begin the year using The Truth Project to investigate scientific and moral evidence for the existence of God. They will then delve into the history and foundational teachings of the Christian church from A.D. 33 to modern times through the series, Christian History Made Easy. Also, students will be provided with a website link for optional at-home study of Questions 1-26 of the New City Catechism. Homework is not required to allow students with demanding academic schedules to participate.
