Welcome to Math Basics~ This course will be taught using Horizons Grade 6 Math Curriculum. This program will progress steadily and offer ample opportunities for great success. The Scope and Sequence of this curriculum is:
: Numbers, order, and value
: Addition and Subtraction properties
: Ratios, measurement, and decimals
: Fractions, estimation, and comparison
: Graphing, rounding, word problems, and consumer math
: Multiplication and Division properties.
These units will prepare your student for our Pre-Algebra course the following year. Parents are required to purchase the Horizons Math Grade 6 consumable workbooks (there are 2). Students need to expect to work on math for at least 30-60 minutes each day outside of class. Regular quizzes and tests will be given to gauge progress and understanding. Each student is expected to come prepared to class with all necessary supplies, homework, projects completed, and a cooperative learning attitude.
Communication will occur through our Google Classroom platform. On this platform, the students and parents will find daily assignments and weekly updates. Students should check Google Classroom daily for any updates.

Day and Time: Mondays, 1st Period, 8:15-9:25

Tuition: $180 per semester, $360 per year
