CLASS IS FULL – Contact us to be placed on the waitlist
This course focuses on the classification and life processes of organisms, plant biology, human anatomy, and zoology all from a Biblical worldview. Students will be required to come to class prepared with assigned reading and homework. At home, they will be required to complete reading, homework questions, and most exams. Students will review difficult material in class through lectures, quizzes, demonstrations, and discussions. During the course, students will also compile an extensive native leaf collection. This collection can be started in the spring of 2023. There will be an informational meeting about it in May.
Parents should be ready and willing to provide oversight for their individual student’s daily progress on assignments. They should also review ALL graded work with their students and regularly monitor their student’s grades. Grades will be updated weekly at schoology.com and will be based on chapter exams, quizzes, homework, and participation in class. Students who do not have a 70% at the end of the fall semester will need the instructor’s permission to continue. Visit Sound Learning’s general course requirements for more information.
