This course description is under construction.
This one year, two semester course explores practical knowledge of 2-D and 3-D figures, analytical reasoning about geometric relationships and proof construction to teach logical thinking. Transformations, triangles, and theorems will roll around in your dreams as you delve into the world of Euclidean geometry. This class also features regular review of Algebra I concepts, as well as video lessons for each topic.
Student Expectations: Students are expected to participate in class, complete and self correct assignments, complete exams at home, and complete pop quizzes. Answers to homework are posted on Schoology so the student can correct their own work. If you cannot figure out how you missed a problem, you need to ask for help and not let it slide by. Skype is effective for video tutoring should to help. Math is a daily thing. If you cannot make time for geometry class Tuesday-Friday, this is not the class for you.
