Health Science will teach students in grades 9-12 about health care, health promotion and disease prevention to best help students grow into a healthy adult. We will study, learn and discuss physical, nutritional, spiritual, and emotional health as we journey through basic anatomy and physiology of the human body. Together we will explore the nervous system, endocrine system, skeletal system, muscular system, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, digestive system, and reproductive system. Students will learn about a variety of health-related careers and settings. This course will teach CPR/AED and basic First Aid.
